At Cataia, we have a mission to craft candles that stimulate the senses and are kind to the planet.

We love melting waxes and scents and that's why we created our range of unique, enchanting and inspiring candles. Each of our candles is meticulously handcrafted in London using all-natural soy wax. Every melt is not only vegan-friendly but also cruelty-free.

What does Cataia mean?
The name Cataia comes from the Tupi language and means Leaf that burns.
​
The Cataia is a plant whose scientific name is Pimenta pseudocaryophyllus. It is a medicinal herb, native to the Atlantic Forest, found only in the states of Paraná and São Paulo, Brazil.
